commercial alterations & conversions_
commercial alterations to an existing building in campbelltown included :
- facade treatment, new glazing, a mezzanine light well cut into a first floor slab
- concrete structural columns removed to accomodate an internal lock up garage for directors to take tenancy in the new upper floor offices, new intermediate columns and beams proposed
- my job was to survey the existing building, find existing architecturals & structurals (if any) as the building is quite old, and with my survey, surveyors drawings and engineering drawings draw up the existing building
- I liased between the client, various builders & the structural engineer, making sure they were updated as either of the 3 made changes that required amendments & also as the building became more acurate
as a 3d model & set of drawings
Conversion – lansvale
a perspective was needed & investigation into the viability by the client to sell the current warehouse with the possibilty to convert it into commercial offices
above is an image of the existing building as it currently is
after a site visit and overall measurements were taken along with a survey a simple 3d model was created to gauge the owners thoughts on his ideal of the aesthetic typology
once the all clear was given colour and materials were added in archi cad before it was imported into photoshop to add the finishing touches
